Praxair installed a 200-foot long cold box, with a 13-foot diameter, by joining two 100-foot sections weighing about 235,000 pounds each. As lift engineering consultant, Ruby+Associates developed detailed site plans to address clearance and crane positioning, sized rigging components, designed support requirements and prepared lift plans. Each section was lifted, uprighted and installed using two mobile cranes working together.
