"I love that Ruby fosters continuous learning and professional development. Webinars as well as internal presentations are routine and available to all staff. Senior staff members are always open to questions and mentoring throughout projects for practical on the job training."

Katrin started her career as an Engineer with Ruby after graduating from Lawrence Technological University with dual Bachelor of Science Degrees in Civil Engineering and Architecture. She has since enjoyed working on a variety of diverse projects in many of Ruby's services and project types. Some of her favorites include everything from stadium projects like Detroit's Little Caesars Arena and the Columbus Crew MLS stadium - to the new Wayne County Criminal Justice Center, a Florida amusement park project, and a submarine hull fabrication facility in Rhode Island.

Katrin leads Ruby's Culture of Quality group and serves as a Peer Mentor. In 2022 she was honored with the Engineering Society of Detroit Outstanding Young Engineer of the Year award. Katrin is a licensed Professional Engineer in Michigan, and she works in Ruby's Grand Rapids office.
