Kansas City, Missouri
BIM and erection procedures for a complex exterior steel structure.
At nearly 285,000 square feet, with two state-of-the-art performance venues, the Kauffman Center is sure to become an architectural icon for Kansas City, and be counted among the finest performing arts centers in the world. Due to the building's complex geometry, Ruby used the Building Information Model and structural analysis tools to analyze the stability of the structure during each stage of construction while developing the erection procedure. The BIM was used further to portray the erection procedure concepts to the owner, the general contractor (JE Dunn), and our client, Midwest Steel.
